The product
Asti Dolce DOCG, ASTI Secco and Moscato d’ASTI Docg are all made with 100% white Moscato grapes, growing on calcareous soils hills between Asti, Alessandria and Cuneo, awarded by the UNESCO heritage. These three wines, thanks to their unique characteristics, to the territory from which they come, and to the methodologies and the meticulous precision with which they are produced, are famous all over the world. An international success, one of the symbols of the Italian way of doing that the Consortium defends, protects, and spreads.
ASTI Dolce e Secco Docg
ASTI Dolce Docg is produced, according to the most ancient Piedmontese tradition, only with Moscato Bianco grapes. With its peculiar sweetness, aromatic and balanced flavor, ASTI Dolce Docg also has an intense aroma of acacia flowers, wisteria, orange, and mountain honey with a background of spices like elderflower, yarrow, and bergamot. The color ranges go from straw to very pale gold, while the foam is fine and persistent. One of the peculiarities of this wine is that the grapes are still hand-picked to preserve their characteristic aroma. Asti Dolce DOCG is ideal with desserts. Whereas, Asti Secco DOCG matches perfectly with the aperitif and the whole meal.
MOSCATO d’ASTI Docg
Also the MOSCATO d’ASTI DOGC is produced with Moscato Bianco grapes, but its vinification makes it the most famous Moscato in Italy and one of the most characteristic products of Piedmontese viticulture. Sweet, but not cloying, it has an inimitable aroma, a delicate and intense flavor, scent of wisteria and linden, peach and apricot with hints of sage, lemon and orange blossoms. A traditional wine that, over time, has reached extraordinary quality levels, also thanks to the spread of modern technologies. Particularly, the one linked to the cold chain, which allowed the wine to retain the aromas and flavors of the grapes and to stabilize the product, allowing it to be conserved and transported.
